Artist Research: Olympic 2012 Ticket Design

LOCOG revealed the ticket designs for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, these were designed by Futurebrand, the 

tickets incorporate Someone’s pictogram designs along with images of the chosen venues.

Each ticket features the relevant sport pictogram with a specific colour scheme for each of the chosen venues, also, as well as an image of the venue, to help spectators reach their destination. These tickets also incorporate a number of security measures –  a hologram, a barcode and the name of the booker. Supposedly, every ticket can be traced to the person who purchased it.

I was influenced by this chosen design, as I thoguht that they layout of these particular tickets were really intersting, and unique. I like the way that it has the dates at the top along with the chosen start time for that specific event, and also the entry code to the Games. Then underneath it has the chosen image for that particular sport like of that: Tennis, Water Polo, and Judo. 

Then it states the venue for that sport and also has a hologram on it to help indentify if it is real for the security measures.
