Charles Burns Black Hole:

Black Hole is a twelve-issue comic book limited series written and illustrated by Charles Burns and published first by Kitchen Sink Press and then Fantagraphics. It was released in collected form in 2005 by Pantheon Books.
The story deals with the aftermath of a sexually transmitted disease which causes grotesque mutations in teenagers.

“It was like a horrible game of tag... It took a while, but they finally figured it out it was some kind of new disease that only affected teenagers, they called it the “Teen Plague” or “The Bug” and there were all kinds unpredictable symptoms... For some it wasn’t too bad - a few bumps, maybe an ugly rash.. Others turned into monsters or grew new body parts... But the symptoms didn’t matter... Once you were tagged, you were “it” forever.” // This is on the blurb of my book.

I really like this comic book, the illustrations in it are really superb and are really beautifully created. Each of the panels in the comic book, change dramatically. They start off in either grids, then transform into columns, I like this as it keeps changing between the pages. Another thing I like about this comic book is that it’s in black and white, I think that if it was in colour it wouldn’t have the same impact as it does in a monochrome way.
