Leif Podhajsky

Creative director Keif Podhajsky has accumlated an impressive collection of musical colloborators, creating his trademark
pyschedelic collages and swirling textures for some of the best contemporary artists, from Foals to Tame Imala to Lykke Li.

Leif’s artwork for Kelis’ lastest album Food takes his exquiste designs to a whole new level, and hurtles Kelis far away from the glitzy imagery of Milkshake and into a whole new realm. I really love the artwork’s geometric symmetry and the way that colours are overlapping and look really interesting and intruging. I also love the hues of that colours that have been used, like that of the pastel colours like yellow, pink and a light ish grey. Every detail of the 12” vinyl record, has been carefully considered.

I was really inspired by this vinyl record, as I was going to create my own vinyl record for our brief. I was truly struck by the chameleonic palette of the record, I love the colours that has been used and I think it looks visually appealing and striking. If I were to create my own record now, I would maybe want something like this, I love the colours and how the geometry is shown on the record itself. I think that this is a beautiful piece of work / art.
