Group Presentation –
Group Dynamics / Negotiation / Public Speaking / Critical Analysis
In groups of four/five I am required to produce a short presentation no longer than 10 minutes based around the City In Flux Brief.
I should include all of the groups Final work and be able to talk about the following things:
My understanding of the brief,
Individual Members final outcome/s
Reflections of the groups work in terms of learning and answering the brief
Roles and Responsibilities within the working team
Reflection on working in a team
How was consensus arrived on the roles within the team?
How was consensus arrived on the format and content of the presentation?
Scanned images or photographic images should be reduced to 720 dpi for screen presentation.
Team:
I should negotiate the following roles within my team:
Team Leader / Manager
Designer
Presenter
Copywriter
Preparing the Presentation:
Define the way the team will function.
Define the roles and responsibilities of the team
Produce a production plan or Gant chart, which should include deadline for tasks undertaken
Produce a mock up of the presentation, which all group members should sign off before the production of the presentation.
Format and software of the presentation is my choice.
I will be expected to post my reflects of the process onto my blog.
Missing Members:
If a member of my group fails to engage with the process, I will have to make the decision to leave out that member of the team and cover their work. Unfortunate but this happens.
DEADLINE:
A paper copy of all the presentations should be handed in on the first day of presentations Thursday 22nd January 2015, with all the group names on.
Audience:
When you are not presenting, I will be expected to peer assess not only the presentation but also the individuals with the group. This will help you understand the assessment process and will aid the development of my own work.
