Rockets and Pears – Illustrator
Using illustrator I created a rocket using the appearance panel and also learned how to use illustrators texture mapping feature to create a 3D pear.
The rocket is created using the appearance panel, the rocket itself only contains about 3 drawn shapes. The inside lines/shapes are created using the stroke option on the panel, in stroke options you are able to change the diameter of the line and the style. As you can see four of the extra lines are dashed. This rocket also includes a gingham pattern that I created.

For the pear:
The 3D pear was created using the mapping tool feature. Firstly I traced the original image of the pear, mapping the inside, side structure as well as the outside line to create a grid. I then gave it colour by selecting a shade of colour for the pear inside each section of the grid. After all that I added a texture this gives the pear more of a real feel.
