I am... with Nick Deakin
This is the first physical studio workshop of the term with Nick. In this, we are focusing on creating 3D handcrafted type out of anything we deem suitable for the word. This means that we could use any material in any way we want to; I like this sense of freedom in the brief as this task is all about creativity.

3D Typography; Analogue:
Consider what to do.
// what to say?
// How’s it made? Cost/Adaptability/Context
// Plan how to do this
// Consider more than an option*
// Think about a smaller version first – a Marquette.
// I want to say: HOARDER / HOARD, ADVENTURER, AESTHETIC, AEONIAN (ETERNAL/EVERLASTING), STELLIFEROUS (HAVING OR ABOUNDING WITH STARS), GAMING/GAMER.
// It will be made by: Books / Magazines / Food / RECEIPTS /
To start off with I started thinking and looking at various 3D typographers and just photographs of their work. I remember a great typographer of Jessica Hische and looked at her Starbucks work (which is really beautiful). I then wanted to create something that would look very appealing to the eye.
I really like everything to do with 3D typographic, I think that there is something beautifully stylish in creating words out of any piece of material. I especially like food typography and type created in that of programmes like Cinema 4D.
For this task, I thought about using up all my old receipts however, I didn't really know what word to use, maybe perhaps 'HOARDER'. However, I then realised that this was probably too long for a word to use. Then I thought of shortening it down to just 'HOARD'.
I also took in a box of Polaroids of me and my boyfriend Joe, which I had taken since April. I keep them all in a specific pouch and decided that maybe these would work quite well. I decided on thinking of words that would describe us, and then I thought why not the word 'US', as all the pictures were of just me and him. I also created the word 'LOVE' using the pictures too.
These four images below are that of Jessica Hische's "From Fancy Lattes" work.

Also I looked at this piece of work which I found on Behance:
