Working on the Collide Brief

Ideas so far:
Letters to future self,
Website,
Calendar of Happiness

My first idea:
"Letters to Future Self"
 - Here I was going to my friends, family, and myself to create a series of letters addressed to their future selves. I thought that this would be a very interesting concept as it is to do with one of the three themes throughout this project - this being Future, Happiness and the Internet.

For Physical: I would use the letters and have them physically made in envelopes so that people would be able to open them up and have a read themselves.

For Digital: I could have taken photographs of the people with their own letter, covering their faces. I really like this concept however, I thought it was maybe just a little bit lacking.

Second Idea:
Website;
This was my second idea for this project, I was searching on the internet one day when I came across a particular website. This was called "My Dad Is..."
After looking at this beautiful website, I wanted to create something like this in conjunction with my first idea, I would've liked to have created a website where people could post their own letter to their future selves. I thought that this would be far more interesting and would work really well, however with trying to create a website, I failed miserably and gave up on the idea.

Third Idea:
Calendar of Happiness;
This I personally believe to be one of the strongest of my ideas for this project. I thought that this would be a really creative and interesting piece too, as it is all about me and what I perceive as my own personal happiness. I love how open that this idea can give me, I thought about everything that has ever made me happy in my life and it was really easy/hard to come up with things.

With this, I had to create up to 366 things that I could be happy about. It was no easy task however, it did take forever but finally, I thought of these things that have made me happy and put them into my own little Calender.

For Physical:
I would print out the slips and have them stuck/tape or even used to create a mobile Calendar. I think that this would be the best option and I think would look very appealing.

For Digital:
I am going to put all or majority of the Illustrator files into After Effects and create an animation going through each month.
